November: Conscience

“Therefore I do my best always to have a clear conscience toward God and all people.”  (Acts 24: 16)

God helps us to choose to be good people.  A person of conscience…

 *Feels right and wrong and pays attention

 *Listens to the voice of the Holy Spirit inside

 *Chooses to do what Jesus would do                        

 *Knows that followers of Jesus will have to make difficult choices

 *Keeps promises even when tempted to give up

 *Can see how his/her actions may help or hurt others

 *Admits their sins and feels badly about poor choices

 *Says sorry and tries to make up for hurtful actions
