Procedural By-Law, Policies, Regulations
Policies and Regulations
A Policy is a statement or position of a principle, intent or belief adopted by the Board of Trustees that provides the framework for the development of a course of action. It is a commitment by which the Board is held accountable to its public.
The Regulations are the 'rules' - the 'actions' that must occur to ensure the policy is implemented, emanating from the Board policy.
The Board's By-Law/Policies Review Committee is a Standing Committee of the Board, meeting quarterly, or at the Call of the Chair, or of the Board. This Committee considers and recommends new and/or draft policies for Board approval.
The maintenance of a policy register is an ongoing process. As issues arise, new policies will be required, as well as the revision of existing policies.
All policies and regulations are listed in the Index, alphabetically.
