6 weeks in school and 6 weeks in an accounting placement. 

Start Date -   January 4, and February 16,2010

Would you like to gain hands on experience in an Accounting career?  Consider our credit program where you will:

• Learn advanced computerized accounting skills; payroll systems, inventory, specialized journals, subsidiary ledgers, sales, taxes, and bank reconciliation.  Simply Accounting is the featured software.
• Learn workplace skills in the classroom for 6 weeks
• Be placed in an office for 8 weeks to get valuable training on the job.
• Earn 5 Ontario High School credits               

You will learn:

• GWLCO1 ( Designing Your Future) This course will guide your career and help you make a successful transition to the workplace
• BAN4E ( Accounting for a small business) You must have already completed the Introduction to Accounting ( Accounting Essentials BAI3E)

In order to qualify:

• You must register in our BAI3E (Accounting Essentials) and complete with a passing grade in order to be accepted into the Co-op.
• You must be 18 years of age or older and be a resident of Ontario.
• Please bring your proof of residence status
