Criteria for Hiring
Education
Minimum Community College Diploma in Child and Youth Work.
Experience
Minimum of three years practice experience following graduation from Child and Youth Work Program.
Minimum of two years of practice experience following graduation from Child and Youth Work Program
if practice experience or related experience has been within an educational system.
Other
Membership in the Ontario Association of Child and Youth Workers an asset.
Child and Youth Workers employed by the Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board are expected to adhere to the Code of Ethics of the Ontario Association of Child and Youth Counsellors.
