Welcome back! The summer seems to go by faster as I get older. While I enjoy the Fall colours, I am not a fan of winter so there is always a sense of melancholy for me when school begins. School begins and many activities begin as well. There will be school welcome barbeques, school assemblies, school Masses, athletics and arts programs will begin and of course school councils will have their elections in September. As for me, I will be at the board table for most of September as the board hears public delegations about the Accommodation Review Process. The Board will vote on these recommendations at our November 27^th Board meeting. You may check the board web site at www.dpcdsb.org to see the dates of the ARC delegations at the Special Administration and Finance meetings. We do have a balanced budget this year which is not easy given the funding model and we are finishing our Strategic Review of the Board in order to develop of 5 year plan. I am delighted that French Immersion will be hosted at St. Margaret of Scotland. Welcome to our new families and to our new teachers.
