Intramural Junior Co-ed Basketball-Winter/Spring 2009-10

This popular and successful program will be in full swing once more for the fourth consecutive year.  All interested students in grades 4, 5 and 6 are placed on a team.  Games are held over the lunch hour with teachers refereeing and senior students volunteering with coaching, scoring and other tasks.

Last year 7 teams, nearly 60 players competed over a 21 game schedule during the months of February and March.  A six game playoff series determined the championship team, but all players were winners as skills were developed, teamwork strengthened and smiles beamed as ultimately fun and sportsmanship was fostered in a friendly yet competitive environment.  Participants often played before dozens of spectators whose contributions helped support school initiatives.
