Reconciliation
“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you.”
The Rite of Reconciliation stresses the healing presence of Christ. After an examination of conscience, students seek forgiveness, as they begin to recognize their continuous dependence on Jesus’ love and mercy.
The time of preparation for the celebration of the Sacrament of Reconciliation provides a tremendous opportunity for conversion to take place in the students, their families and the entire faith community. During this journey of faith, children can be challenged to begin a life of continuous growth in faith. As parents you can fulfill your role as the primary teachers of your child in the ways of the faith within the Church and in society.

At school, students reflect on the Sacrament of healing and their relationship with Jesus. They learn to recognize signs of forgiveness around them. They also learn the importance of showing forgiveness to others. Students learn the importance of keeping peace in relationships and how it leads to peace in our world. Students recognize that Reconciliation leads us back to the table of the Lord and into communion with our brothers and sisters.
