Starting January 7, 2007, all Ontarians can enjoy free access to a collection of digital information resources, including full-text articles from magazines, newspapers, scholarly journals, encyclopedias, dictionaries, reference books and e-Book collections, published by EBSCOhost and GALE Group.
Knowledge Ontario, a collaboration of libraries funded by the Province through the Ministry of Culture, is responsible for the creation of this program with the aim of supporting the information and learning needs of all Ontarians. This program will run for two years.
What?
The database programs include:
Ø Full-text articles from international and Canadian newspapers and magazines;
Ø Scholarly journals and periodical articles on:
· Computer technology
· Education
· Law
· Literature
· Medical science, health and wellness
· Military and intelligence
· Political science
· Religion and philosophy
· Science and technology
· Social science
Ø Encyclopedias and almanacs

When, Where and How ?
Ø At school, click on the Database programs. Get the User Id's and passwords from the Circulation Desk.
Ø At home, access your local public library website. Use your Public Library Card number to log in.
