Varsity Girls Flag Football
2008- 2009
MVP
St. Paul's June Jubillee `09
Champions

On June 5th, 2009 the varsity girls flag football team played in the first annual St. Paul's June Jubillee. Along with coaches McNish, Coliacovo, Freda and Jurnic the girls were excited to be back on the fields after the upset of last season. With quarter back Stephanie Lemeza back from injury last season the girls were off to a good start. Going undeafeated leading up to the finals the girls were playing to win. Having fun the girls were able to play both offence and defence strongly. The ding dongs that are the flag football team (as coach McNish would say) stayed strong throughout the finals ending in a tie. This tie versus Markhan led the girls to the tie breaker, converts. Starting off at 6-6 the girls got their first 2-point convert proving that they were a force to be reconed with. As Markham missed their first attempt it looked good for the bulldogs. The bulldogs unfortunatly missed their second attempt but luckily so did Markham. Going into the third and final round the girls needed at least one point to secure the win. And they did just that. Ending off with a score of 9-6. Congratulations to the Varsity flag football team. They did what they set out to do and in true Bulldog fashion captured the gold.
Congratulations goes out to the vets and graduating bulldogs, Victoria Celini, Camilli Dilulio, Stephanie Lemeza, Alysse Russell, Katie Howarth, Meagan Paul and Katherine MacNamera.
