What is Visual Arts?

Visual Arts is a open elective for grade nines and tens, that evolves into a more advanced program in grade eleven and tweleve. Students are introduced to the fundementals of art and design and are encouraged to explore their thoughts and ideas and emotions. Drawing, mixed media, painting,and sculpting are but a few areas explored as well as the major art history movements. The "Open Studio" is available to studetns for self explortory works, continued study, school activities, promotion and portfolio decelopment and assistance.
