Cayley - Grade 10
Fermat - Grade 11

Date:   Tuesday February 19th , 2008

Registration Deadline:   November 30th, 2007

Time:  8:30 – 9:30am

Location:  cafeteria or library (listen for announcements)

 

Format:  multiple-choice

Fee:    $3.00 per contest

 

                       Materials Needed:               

·   Several sharpened pencils or mechanical pencils

·  Eraser

·  Calculator (any kind)

·  Ruler

Scrap paper will be provided.

Canadian Open Mathematics Challenge:

 

Date:  Wednesday November 21st, 2007

Registration Deadline:  October 19th, 2007

Time:  8:30 – 11:00am (2½ hours)

Location:  cafeteria or library (listen for further announcements)

 

Format:   full solution (no Multiple-Choice)

                   Part A – 8 questions each 5 marks

                     Part B – 4 questions each 10 marks

                                 marked for form and style of presentation

 

Fee:  $12.00 per contest

 

             Materials Needed:               

·   several sharpened pencils or mechanical pencils

· eraser

·  calculator (non-programmable and without graphic display)

· ruler

    Scrap paper will be provided.

Registration Deadline:  February 29, 2008

Time:  8:30 – 11:00am (2½ hours)

Format:   short answer & full solution (no Multiple-Choice)

10 questions, 10 marks each

         marked for form and style of presentation

 

Fee:   $12.00 per contest

 

                  Materials Needed:               

·  several sharpened pencils or mechanical pencils

·  eraser

·  calculator (non-programmable and without graphic display)

·  ruler
