How you can avoid plagiarism:  (Research 36) Take careful notes and document the source  Put your notes in your own words and be sure to include your own thoughts Accurately record quotations, paraphrased information and page numbers Follow the correct format for quotations, short quotes in quotations and longer ones are indented Use parenthetical citations or footnotes/endnotes where needed as instructed by your teachers  Allow enough time to get all of your work done on time
