Principal's Message
Iona Catholic Secondary School is called to develop a faith-centred community by nurturing faith through spiritual, intellectual, moral and ethical growth. We strive to build a Catholic community through an understanding of our Catholic heritage and inspiring action through service. The vibrant Iona community realizes that we are all created in the image and likeness of God. We all have gifts and talents to share. Gospel values permeate the entire life of the school – promoting commitment to service, courtesy, honesty, and respect to oneself and others.
Our staff and students take this faith journey together with the underlying motto that “Life is a Gift, Faith is a Journey and Learning is our Challenge”. I sincerely believe that every staff and student at Iona Catholic S.S. is a true gift and blessing from our Lord Jesus Christ. Thus, we always encourage every individual in our school community to reach their God given potential and be responsible and contributing members to society. I hope that you take the time to surf our Iona website and learn more about our great school community.
Our Arts & Culture Pathway program is a new initiative that we are absolutely thrilled and excited about. In the program’s second year, we continue to build on its successes. This summer a fabulous dance studio was constructed for the Dance program that is being offered for the first time this year. If you would like more information about the Pathway to the Arts program, please do not hesitate to contact us at Iona.
God Bless,
Joanna Boudreau
Principal
