Library Services:

Loyola Library staff are available to assist staff and students with their information needs. If you need help with locating resources (print or electronic) ask the librarian for assistance.
Please note that students can request for a one-on-one session, with the teacher-librarian, on the following:
- research
- locating resources
- citation and bibliographic styles (MLA & APA)
- computer programs
- locating professional resources for staff
- literacy programs
- what next to read for pleasure
Students can photocopy or print in the library at the costs below:
- photocopying (black & white 10 cents per page)
- printing: (color printing 50 cents per page)
Power Hour:
On Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays the library will be open for POWER HOUR. Students can get extra help from peer tutors, mentors and teachers after school (2:20pm to 3:20 pm). Students are encouraged to take advantage of POWER HOUR. Come and get help with your work!
Books:
The Loyola Library has over 8000 books available for our staff and students. You can search our library online catalogue, from our school computers, to locate any materials available within our collection. Our non-reference books and periodicals can be checked out for a period of time. See the note below for allowed loan periods.
Books: (max. of 4) 1 week for each book
Periodicals (magazines, journals): 2 days each
Renewals: Materials can be renewed on or before the due date.
Overdue Fines: 10 cents per day per item
Items on Sale:
Locks: $5.00 each
Duotangs: .50cents
Transparencies: .50cents
