We hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas break. There are quite a few important events coming up, so be sure to read the newsletter when it comes home, and check the Events link.
Note: The school Mass which had to be cancelled on December 18 has been rescheduled for this Friday, January 9, at 9:30 in the gym.

Junior & Senior Kindergarten Registration for 2009-10
JK/SK registration for the 2009-10 school year will be held at all Dufferin-Peel Catholic elementary schools in February 2009.

Winter weather has arrived!
Please be sure your child is coming to school properly dressed to go outside at recess - warm coat, boots, mittens, & hat. Boots and shoes worn outside may not be worn in the classroom; your child needs to bring a pair of "indoor" shoes for the winter. It is recommended that they have a pair of indoor shoes which may be left at school through the week.
In the event of extreme winter weather conditions, buses may be cancelled or schools may be closed. For information on this, go to Weather Cancellations, found under the Interesting Links on the right. |
Unfortunately our plans for skiing this year have had to be cancelled as we did not have enough people sign up.
Welcome back Mme Butera! Mme Butera has returned from leave to be our French teacher again!
Cardinal Ambrozic Catholic Secondary School will open this coming September. Follow the new link at the top of the left sidebar for information about the new school.
As explained in the order form, please note that orders for the hot lunch program cannot be accepted late. They are picked up at about 9:00 on the due date. Refunds or credits are not given for hot lunches if the student is away. You are welcome to come in and pick up the lunch if your child is absent that day, but lunches will not be saved or refunded.
Planning for the year?
Remember that as events are planned they will be posted on the calendar (found in the right menu bar or in the "Events" section on the top menu bar.)
The Board calendar for 2008-2009 is now available - follow the link under "Interesting Links" on the right side of the page.
The dates for the enrolment and reception of sacraments have been set and are posted on the Parish Info link, found in the top menu bar.
Dates for school Masses & liturgies are now on the Events calendar. Our parent community is most welcome to join us for school liturgies.
The School Board has set the dates for information evenings for extended French programs for Fall of 2009. The links can be found on our Registration sidebar, on the General Info page.

Please note carefully the school boundaries.
Remember: Important dates show in yellow on the calendar, (see the sidebar on the right,) and you can see the details by clicking on "Events" in the top menu bar, and then clicking on the date. You can also move through the months - click on the arrows beside the name of the month. Events will be added throughout the year.
