Dear Employer,
The Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board and the Peel District School Board are proud to host the 5th annual Mission Employable! Conference to be held May 8th 2008 at the Pearson Convention Centre. Last year’s conference was a great success and as a result, this year’s event has expanded to one day involving both school boards and over 400 participants!
The Mission Employable Conference is aimed specifically at grade 12 graduating students entering the world of work this spring and summer. The purpose of the conference is many-fold:
· to celebrate these students’ choice of entering the working ranks;
· to help these students improve and enhance their employability skills via the activities planned for the day;
· to connect these students to prospective employers.
This year’s conference will consist of a keynote speaker, an employment expo and numerous informative seminar presentations. Students will have many opportunities to meet employers, present a résumé, learn tips of the trade and discuss employment opportunities.
The registration fee of $50.00 dollars for one day will cover the cost of a continental breakfast and lunch for two people registered, and one presentation table. Additional staff are welcome at a cost of $25 per person. In addition, we invite employers to help further celebrate this event by donating door prizes for the numerous draws that will be held throughout the conference.
We eagerly look forward to your response and participation in this year’s Mission Employable! Conference.
Kindly refer to the registration form for further details.
Sincerely,
The Mission Employable! Committee
