Prayer and Celebrations

We will celebrate 2 full-school liturgies per semester (repeated 4 times each) in the cafeteria – one Liturgy of the Word and one Mass.  All will be in grade-level groups.

Thanksgiving Liturgy of the Word – Chaplain presides.  This is our first liturgy of the school year on Wednesday, October 3 and Thursday, October 4, 2007.

Advent Mass - Wednesday, December 5 and Thursday, December 6 – presiders: Fr. Bui, Fr. Ali and Fr. Arrigo.

Ash Wednesday Liturgy of the Word – Chaplain presides on Wednesday, February 6.  This liturgy will kick off the Lenten justice project led by the World Issues Group.

Holy Week Stations of the Cross on March 19th and 20th.  (This is not technically a liturgy but is an important prayerful assembly.)

Easter Mass – Thursday, April 10 and Friday, April 11 – presiders: Fr. Bui and Fr. Ali.

Graduation Liturgy of the Word – Chaplain presides on Friday, June 20th 10:30 am.

The Chapel houses the Blessed Sacrament and is a sacred space in our building.  A lit red candle beside the tabernacle signifies the presence of Christ.  Classes and teams/clubs are welcome to use the chapel for prayer, meditation or faith activities.

Prayer and spiritual reflections are at the heart of our faith community.  We will pray with the intercession of our patron saint, Mary, through special rosary weeks four times per year.  In addition, each classroom will have and use a seasonal prayer centre table.

Sacrament of Reconciliation will be offered in our chapel during Advent and Lent.
